This was Dee’s first-ever sculpture, marking the beginning of her journey into sculpting.

Inspired by her own miniature dachshund, Raffles, who was just a puppy at the time, Dee captured his essence through clay, using photographs to guide her in bringing his form to life.

This piece was more than just a sculpture—it was the turning point that ignited Dee’s passion for sculpting, shaping the path toward her future as an artist.

Moomin—A Cherished Tribute in Clay

For her second-ever sculpture, Dee honored her beloved first miniature dachshund, Moomin, capturing the personality that made him so special.

Moomin had a signature pose—the playful Meerkat position, sitting upright with an alert curiosity that brought joy to those around him. Dee took this one step further, adding his favorite toy to the sculpture, ensuring that every detail reflected his spirit.

As one of her most treasured creations, this piece not only celebrates Moomin but also represents a deep, personal milestone in her sculpting journey.

Purdey—A Sculpture of Belonging

Dee’s third sculpture was a heartfelt tribute to Purdey, their newest family member and cherished rescue. Just two months after welcoming Raffles, Purdey joined the household, and Dee wanted to ensure she felt truly included as part of the family.

Capturing her presence in clay, Dee sculpted Purdey with the same love and care that defines her artistic journey. Now, Purdey’s sculpture sits proudly on the mantlepiece, a lasting symbol of her place in their hearts and home.

Wiggle Piggle Piggy—A Tribute to Joy

This sculpture is a playful nod to Moomin, Dee’s beloved elderly dachshund, whose favourite pastime was a happy wiggle. Though this piece features an English Bull Terrier, its spirit is fully inspired by Moomin’s joyful movements.

Named Wiggle Piggle Piggy, this sculpture captures a Bull Terrier mid-wiggle, belly to the sky, radiating pure happiness. It’s a celebration of carefree moments, a reminder of the simple joys that animals bring into our lives.

Though it still has layers of paint to be completed, Dee couldn’t wait to share this piece—a heartfelt tribute, full of charm and love.
